Don't Swamp the Boat

This is another in my Herring series. The three rivers that feed the Albermarle Sound are full of these net stakes. Frequently the fishermen would swamp the boats as they hauled in the nets.

This was an especially good catch, I bet their feet got wet! Sold, Edenton Show
