First Sunday

I painted this after hearing that a wonderful old church had to close it's doors. I imagined these ladies meeting each Sunday for fellowship and prayer. Where will they go now, will they all join the same church?

I submitted First Sunday to Chowan Arts Council's Women Artist Show which opened last week. The Church Ladies won second place!! And it SOLD!
