I was honored to be asked to paint this depiction for Historic Hope Plantation. It will hang with other artists' depictions of life on the Plantation in Hope's Visitor Center. Since there were no cameras in that era, I let my imagination soar! The path is how I remember the path into Eden House, with its tunnel of trees and the light slipping through in spots. The horse and cart and people started as just shapes and voila! It is 18x24"
