The Nags Head Pier

Last week there was the most glorious, crisp and clear morning.  I spent the morning with my trusty camera at the Nags Head Pier hoping to get an inspiration to paint for the Artrageous Auction this Sunday evening at the Hilton in Kitty Hawk.  The event is only part of the weekend of art, raising awareness and money for the arts in the in Dare County Schools.  Check out the Dare County Arts Council's website for more information.

It had been my intention to capture an interior of the pier house, but after going outside and seeing the light on the pier and the lights coming through the railings into the ocean...oh,my.  It is my hope that it will attract the attention of the fishermen and surfers at the auction and raise lots of money for the Arts!  It is 16x20  Sold at auction for $600.  The arts council and I thank you  gracious art patron!
