Pear Shaped

This little ditty was an exercise in light and shadow. It took thousands of brushstrokes to get this baby shaped up. It was a great study and took real discipline to slow down and really observe and then paint each shape. I love the feel of moving paint so I tend to rush the process. This was slow and sweet! 6x6"

  1. Beautiful! My favorite Tracy Bell painting in our collection is a still life with a teapot and a pear that seems to glow right off the canvas. I'm glad to see another pear. I'll bet the 6x6 size makes it even more precious, like a sparkling, little gem.

    Can't wait to see you!
