Shipyard Landing

Francis Speight, a well known artist from Bertie County, introduced me to Shipyard Landing through his paintings. His paintings would draw you into the setting. I still smell the mugginess of the still water. Are those flies buzzing in my ears? Sadly, Shipyard Landing like so many things in Bertie is but a memory.
