Pandora is playing big band tunes from the 40's, it's Sunday, and my baby boy turns 26 in a week. That's why I am painting Buddy Guy playing at the Toad's Place. Somehow painting something music related gives me the opportunity to visit with him vicariously... which makes me happy. I was drawn to the light on Buddy's face and arm, and the overall darkness of the venue. As with most of my darker paintings, it did not photograph as well as I would like. What do I do, take time to learn how to photograph better or paint...? You know what my answer is? PAINT! 12x16"

Buddy Plays Toad's
