I have two friends who paint the most wonderful chickens, with feathers so touchable and glowing with color. I've tried chicken "portraits" with no success, so I decided to let my chickens be "free range" and did not struggle as I had with the portraits. I studied the chickens and kept thinking of just the shapes of color change, and yea, some even looked like chicks! Perhaps it is the fun of having the chickens doing something and telling a story of their neighborhood. I do love telling stories, my friends will all agree! This is 8x10"
