My Bah- Bah Alma lived in The Chesterfield on Franklin Street in Richmond. It was a grand old building, so solid and handsome. It had it's own restaurant which had crisp white table clothes, heavy weight silverware and precious waitresses, most of whom were older than my grandparents. I remember one waitress who always wore a Creche in her "bun' on the back of her head during the Christmas holidays! I would be exaggerating if I told you that the Chesterfield looked like this painting. I just can't help but get carried away with interiors! 16x20"
