Hanging Out the Nets

This one has a lot of interesting elements. How to get the nets to be convincing, how to include two boats so they'll look like boats that float, and how to get all the story I want to tell on an 8x10" canvas? Well, it was a fun challenge! The boats are built with as few strokes as I could, and the nets took a lot of squinting. The figures, too are created with the less is more philosophy.

I am happy to be back at my easel and look forward to returning to a regular painting routine.SOLD
