I enjoy recording bits of history. I have no idea what era wringer washers were used, but in the mid 1970's when I came south to Bertie County, there were wringers on porches in Indian Woods. No plumbing needed as a hose brought the water from the pump to the machine and it emptied directly onto the porch floor and streamed to the ground. I added screen to this porch, but there was none it the house I visited during my social worker years.
Unfortunately the screen has blocked out a lot of the landscape outside in the photograph. So, you must see it in person!! 8x10" SOLD
