We are in Downtown Manteo at the Boat Building Museum. It is a fascinating place to visit. During the summer you can sign up to build a boat! What a fun thing to do with your Grand kids! For $300 you and your team build a 5 foot boat in a day. As "locals" we miss out on so much of what is happening in our own neighborhood, until we venture out of our comfort zone. I was standing here and someone asked where Marshes' Light was? If you peep thru the shelter, you see it. Lucky for them, Manteo is easy to navigate! Marshes" Light is a Coastguard Station recently replicated in Manteo. Another fascinating place to visit!
I am painting several Manteo scenes for our upcoming Student-Teacher Art Show opening July 3 at the Dare County Arts Council. Our reception is from 6-8 on the 3rd, but the show will hang for the entire Month of July. Come see it! 8x10" Sold
